i was prescribed with antidepressant named "secita". my psychiatrist said that there's no interaction between the pill, but it may reduce the effectiveness. should i stop taking yasmin? i would like to hear your opinion

So it looks like some ssri’s or snri’s can sometimes potentially impact hormone levels but doesn’t directly impact the pill. You should probably just take them at different times of the day like for example taking the antidepressant in the morning and taking the pill at night (or vice Versa) and/or consult a pharmacist as they will know how they interact

@aurielle @Monkeybutt63 thank you for your replies. sometimes some doctors can have the out-dated info, especially when it comes to the pill. so i wanted to hear your opinion to be sure. I don't plan on stopping Yasmin, but I will use a condom just to be extra safe.
