I am on my first week of sugar pills on my birth control. This is my first pack I am taking. I have my period, and I have crazy cramps that come and go, and I am having a stringy blood clots a little more than usual. Is this normal? Should I be worried? And I’m on day 9 of my period as well. So basically my placebo week does not align with my period at the moment.

It can take a while for your body to adjust. Sounds like normal side effects to me

@Ashminiekatr I felt that way at first! I still experience more clots than I did before I was on birth control and I have been on the pill for years. Wishing you well!

Unfortunately normal, it will end at some point just no way of knowing when, if it goes on for too long though, I would speak with your doctor

@Monkeybutt63 I feel like I should cancel my doc appt then lol and give it some time to resolve on its own

When is your appointment?

Yeah there is no need to see a doctor unless you bleed continuously for 6-7 weeks straight. Then I recommend seeing a doctor about swapping pills or methods. 9 days isn’t that long xx
