i changed my birth control to levonorgestrel and ethinyl estradiol and this is the first time i have a row of pills on my break week is there anything that would happen if i were to miss a pill ? are they mandatory if not can i just not take them?

No they are placebo pills that contain no hormones so it's completely optional to take them
