hey yall, just switched my pill from sprintec (7 day break) to yaz (4 day break). i know there are various reasons to miss withdraw bleed especially when switching pills and stuff. but for people who have been on a pill with a 4 day break — do you always bleed within those 4 days? i’ve always viewed my withdraw bleed as extra reassurance that im not pregnant just wanted to see if i will possibly still have that reassurance once my body regulates the new doses. thanks!

Missing bleeds is a normal side effect of the pill, as long as you’re using the pill correctly you’re good. There’s no way to know if you’ll continue to bleed or not unfortunately, i personally always bled on shorter break weeks.

The bleed doesn’t actually tell you anything, as it is possible to experience bleeding even while pregnant. If you use your birth control correctly you will not get pregnant. Trust your birth control!
