Hi guys! Help me out plz cause i’m losing my mind a bit… I’m taking the birth control pill (desorelle 20). I always take this for 3 months to 3.5 months and then a stop week. Every time I take my pill again after the stop week, my period gradually stops and has completely stopped after about 2 to 3 days. Now my question is, I started my pill back on Monday and I’m still on my period. I did swallow my pill due to many private circumstances, for 4.5 to almost 5 months, much longer than usual. Can it be because of swallowing my pill for 4.5 to 5 months (wich is longer as usual) that it also takes longer for my period to stop?? Cause i never took my pill longer then 3.5 months except for now… Should I worry?? Are they still going to stop and if so when about?? Plz help a girl out!! Thanks!

It’s normal, your bleeds will not be the same every single time. It’ll stop on its own eventually.

@Yi_eune so I don’t have to worry about it?? I don’t have to go and see a doctor bc they haven’t stopped yet??

@Kiki004 the only way I’d consider seeing a doctor if you bled heavily for 5-6 weeks straight so you could swap to a different pill or method. Breakthrough bleeding is always a possibility with birth control and it’s nothing to worry about, especially not when its only been a few days.
