Hey I‘ve recently done a try out shift at a new restaurant to work at. I‘ve been working at a cafe for over a year now and felt like I wanted to increase my server level a bit. Also the salary at the new restaurant‘s better. Don‘t get me wrong here, I love to work at the cafe very much. My problem is now that tomorrow‘s my next „first real shift“ at the restaurant and I‘m feeling a bit overwhelmed with having to get to know where things are, what I should do and whatsoever. I‘m a bit afraid that no one will tell me what to do and I‘ll just stand in the room like some statue or something. I‘m kind of talking around it lol but are here any experienced servers who can give me some tipps on what I could do or in general tipps on serving? Thanks a lot

I don’t have any server experience but do not be afraid to ask questions to your colleagues, it’s a new place and anyone would understand that you need to get used to the ropes and operations of the restaurant
