I will be on the pill 10 years next January, I am 28 years old….should I come off it to give my body a break for a few months or is it safe to stay on it. We will be trying for kids in 2 years or so? I am just scared I will have trouble to conceive after being on it for so long and having no break over them 10 years? I do take the 7 days break of taking no pills but I have never came off it for a few months 💊💊💊💊⚠️💊💤💤💤💤💤💤💤💊💊💊💊💊💊💊💊💊💊💊💊💊💊⏱ Brand: Yasmin

it’s safe to stay on it, it’s not good for your body to stop and start the pill, so if you want to go off you’d have to stay off for a year

Thank you, I was thinking it’s worse for your body if you go off it, go on something else like the marina or patch and then switch back to the pill. I just get anxious with now being 28 will I find it hard to conceive. Is there any tests I can get done to check my fertility while on the pill?

yeah it actually increases your risk of blood clots to stop and start in such a short period of time. you’d have to check with your gp, as i’m not sure what would be available in your area

There is no medical reason to have a break from birth control x

The pill doesn't negatively affect fertility, if anything it can have a positive effect because it reduces your risk of endometrial and ovarain cancers
