Hi all! I am about a week away from finishing my first month of birth control. I’ve also dealt with acne a lot of my life and been on accutane twice when I was 15 and then again when I was 17. I haven’t had problems with acne since then thankfully — but since I started birth control I have been getting pimples all over my face and random ones all over my body. I heard people even take birth control to get rid of acne, so for those who have been on BC for longer: does acne typically get worse before it gets better? This is really messing with my self-esteem and genuinely hasn’t been a problem for years until I started BC. Any advice is appreciated!
