Does the patch stop you from having your period what is it, is it like a Sticky thing with a Needle or what? Does it come off when you shower how much do you wear it?

you no longer have a period as you don’t ovulate on the patch. you have weeks with the patch and if you bleed then it’s called breakthrough bleeding. you have a break week and any bleeding during that week is called withdrawal bleeding. you might bleed during the break week due to the drop on hormones- i personally did bleed but everyone is different, bleeding or lack of bleeding doesn’t mean anything. you wear a patch for a whole week, for three weeks and then you have a patch free week. the adhesive is very strong so it doesn’t come off in the shower but if it does fall off the nhs website has instructions on what to do. it’s simply a sticky patch there’s no needle.

The patch is just a plaster, which you wear for a week at a time and then you switch it. It works the same as the combined pill, except it absorbs through the skin and not from your digestive system.
