I haven’t had my period for 9 months now and it has always been irregular since the beginning. Yesterday I took my first pill which my male doc prescribed for me so that my period would come naturally again. I need to take the pill for 3 months and see how it’ll go (good or bad yk) but I’ve heard lots of bad things about the pill and now I am scared. Ik it’s too early to say but I haven’t had any side effects yet except some cramps and nausea. Can someone please tell me if it’s worth it? It’s better than no period at all right? I am taking the yasmin pill.

Well me personally I never like having a period so I do anything I can to avoid it so I think its more of how you feel.

Is there a reason you aren’t getting it naturally? Or are you being put on it as like an experiment?

@Monkeybutt63 Tbh I don’t really know why it’s irregular. The doctors I’ve been to never told me…only said that it’s normal in the first 4-6 years? 🤷‍♀️ Never got a reason except that it’s apparently very normal. So I guess more like an experiment just to see how it’ll go.

Ok I’m just asking because I’m wondering if there’s an underlying cause or not. Speaking on experience when I first got my period for the first year and a half it was only coming every “J” month ironically and turned out to be I have hashimotos which gave me hypothyroidism and when I got on medication it became regular

Not saying that’s what you have but I’m just wondering if there could be an underlying hormonal cause

@Monkeybutt63 That’s what I thought too. I got tested for hormonal stuff etc and everything was fine, rather said IS fine. Doctors couldn’t find anything 🤷‍♀️ and now I am on the pill. Better than nothing I guess?
