I’m currently on GLP 1 injection - semaglutide and also on a ovreena pill.. I was getting cramps and the usual period symptoms but I didn’t actually bleed it was more like brown discharge for 2 days no I’m worried is this the injection affecting me period or possibly pregnant??

You’re using 2 birth control methods, pregnancy is basically impossible. Irregular bleeding is a normal side effect of both the shot and the pill. It being brown still counts as a bleed.

Mention of weight and diet
Diet and lifestyle changes, changes in sleep, stress, weight loss and medication among other things can have a huge impact on your body and therefore can also affect your bleeds, even while on birth control. So perfectly normal for things to be different than usual.

@Yi_eune just clarifying she doesn’t mention a second birthcontrol just the pill she’s using, the GLP-1 is a diabetes drug that some people use for weight management

Hey! This isn’t really what you asked, but figured I’d share anyways. So I am on a glp-1 as well. Your pill effectiveness is decreased for 4 weeks any time you change your dose. So for the first 4 weeks of starting, or if your dose increases/decreases, your pill is not 100% reliable and during those 4 weeks you should use extra protection such as condoms.
