Had sex and my bf finished in me but I skipped my break week, I also recently made a mistake and put my patch on a day early about 2-3 weeks ago. I’m also spotting, am I protected?

You’ve made multiple posts about this already where users have informed you that shortening or skipping your break week does not compromise your protection. Only extending does. Putting it on one day early is not a “mistake”. Spotting is a normal side effect of the patch. Some people experience side effects when they skip their break weeks, especially when they usually don’t do that. You don’t need plan B, but please use condoms if you don’t trust your birth control.

@Yi_eune Me making multiple post are irrelevant, they all were different questions for your information. I wanted a second opinion so I asked, skip past me next time.

@kk_____ It is relevant, because I’ve already explained to you that you would be fine and remain fully protected on your last post. Or are you asking whether you’re protected or not based on the bleeding you are experiencing? Then I could understand. This is my attempt to reassure you that you were never unprotected in these last couple weeks. Putting a patch on early is not a mistake, it was an accident that happened and it’s completely fine to do so. You skipping your break week does not leave you unprotected. The less breaks you take the less likely it is for user error to occur so technically it’s good to take as few breaks as possible to reduce the chances. Skipping breaks can cause side effects for some people, which is even more common if people aren’t used to it. After I post this I will find the link to a post that talks about bleeding and why it isn’t anything to go by. But for the future it’s best to use condoms or abstain from sex if you’re ever unsure. Preventing is a lot more effective than plan B will ever be. Why? Because you can ovulate as soon as you become unprotected, and plan B won’t work if you’ve already ovulated.

There is also this {jaCfPrNzy} that summarises a lot of basic information about the pill, but most of this also applies to the patch so it might be of interest.

These are the useful posts I mentioned above: {IroyPrNDs} and {-WoyPrNun} It tends to say pill but it also counts for other hormonal birth control methods!
