You don't ovulate on the pill, that's how it prevents pregnancy.

Fun fact: the gender is determined by the man's sperm! Women can only offer the "X" chromosome (as women are XX) and men (XY) 's sperm be "X" or "Y" that fertilises the egg. Any tricks for getting either gender are just old wives tales and can be fun to fantasise about but they are not reliable.
