i changed from a combo pill to a mini pill (Slinda), in the pamphlet it says “start it as soon as you take the last active pill from your last pack” but it doesn’t say anything about wearing condoms for 7 days, should i assume that i will be protected right away?

It would specify if you’d have to use condoms. But to give you a perspective; you start your mini pill right after your last combined pill you’ll still be protected by your combined pill “break week”, the mini pill kicks in after 2 full days so it becomes active during your break which means protected by your mini pill a few days before your last break week comes to an end.
