Anyone know if it’s ok if pill is exposed to air? Accidentally went to take pill without realising and I’ve broken the foil. Do I need to chuck it or ok to leave for tomorrow

I’ve had the same problem before multiple times and I’ve always been okay. My pharmacist told me that it’s only a problem if it’s been exposed to air for days + experienced humidity/heat as well. You can always ask your pharmacist for more personalised advice :)

Usually it’s fine. If the pill itself isn’t damaged (not crushed, leaking, or discoloured) and you keep it dry and out of heat/light, taking it tomorrow should be okay. If it’s a soft capsule or you’re unsure, the leaflet or a pharmacist can confirm but most tablets don’t need to be thrown out just for being exposed to air briefly.

It should be fine if you keep it stored like the instructions tell you. There is plenty of people that use pill containers for their birth control which aren’t airtight
