Hello! I’ve been on the pill for over 7 years and have taken them religiously with a 7 day break. I am going away on holiday in September and want to delay my period for that month. Silly question but do I just continue with a new pack after I’ve finished my last one? And will this stop my withdrawal bleed or shall I expect spotting? It’s definitely worth a try, it won’t guarantee that you won’t bleed though. You would just start with a new pack after all of your active pills are done.

remember you’ll be one week short at the end of the packs you’ve got!

You could skip your July or August break week, because then you’ll have your September one earlier (before your trip). That way if you get side effects from skipping your break, you get them out of the way before your trip and not during it.
