I need to vent a little. I showed my mom my new tattoo (it’s small and not visible till I don’t show it to someone on purpose) and she went completely crazy about it, even though I’m an adult woman who lives alone. She’s so upset that she won’t speak to me at all. I told her that it’s my body and my choice and I don’t regret it at all, but I don’t know what to do or how to talk to her about it since she won’t listen anymore. Do you have any advice?

honestly it’s completely her problem not yours……. but if you wanted to you could sit down and ask her what her actual problem or issue with it is and agree that she doesn’t like them and you do

The older generation can be seriously overdramatic about tattoos, I would just leave it honestly, she'll get over it with time. If she puts something as stupid as a tattoo over speaking to her daughter that is her problem.

Honestly if that was me, I would just keep distance. Yes that’s your mom but that’s just totally unnecessary of a reaction about a tattoo
