Kidney vs ovaries
Hi everyone, so this is a very long story for those who are interested as someone who has extreme health anxiety. Some relevant details
1. I started my period at 10. I’m 20 now and ever since then my periods have been very regular spot on to the day, usually lasting five days, normal bleeding. I would occasionally get bad cramps in my abdomen and sometimes in my lower back once in a blue moon on my period. Nothing paracetamol and a hot water bottle couldn’t fix.
2. Since I was small I’ve had two very bad habits - not drinking enough water and holding in my pee here and there. I’m trying my best to get better at this!
3. I started the oral contraceptive in November 2023 for insanely bad mood swings which was happening nearly the whole month every month. Started Ovreena on 63 days 4 day break, was bleeding for three months straight. Then I changed to microlite and my moods were even worse. I then changed to Yasmin and suddenly moods were great and I had minimal side effects overall. (June 2024)
4. I got my first uti in around the same time last year. Abdominal pain, blood in urine, bloating, pain urinating. Took antibiotics and was fine.
5. I’ve been on Yasmin since then doing 21 days and 4 day break. However, overtime, I noticed that my period pains were getting worse every cycle and started having to take max paracetamol and max ibuprofen every month which was unusual for me. Even then, the pain was still there. I started getting lower back pain randomly even when not on my period.
6. I got another uti about three weeks ago and went into antibiotics. At the same time, my doctor recommended to take two months of pill back to back and see what happens. Ended up bleeding for two weeks straight so took a break. The infection and the pill bleeding were happening simultaneously.
Then I was fine for a week. No bleeding, no pain, no uti symptoms.
7. All of a sudden a week ago, I get a left leg pain and left arm pain that went and came. Went to doctor, every scan and test came back normal. Given painkillers and said it was just muscle strain.
8. Pain gone and then another week later, suddenly experience lower right back pain with lower left abdomen pain. Will not go away. Go to the doctor and says it’s possibly endometriosis. Gives me nsaids and says to keep an eye on symptoms.
Pain has been reduced but comes back every now and then slightly and usually on the left side of my body (leg, arm, abdomen, back)
9. Last thing haha is my mother’s family has no history of endo but a longgggg history of kidney infections and kidney stones. My mom got many removed when she was around my age.
10. Lastly, i have had bowel issues since i was quite small also. No problem passing stool. However intolerance to dairy and in the last 6 months got diagnosed with gastritis so my stomach is very sensitive and can be hard to pass based on the diet i have.
So my question for you internet people is what do you guys think this is? Should I get tested for both? Or is there one that ít definitely sounds like and I’m just stupid haha
