switched from cerelle to a generic desogestrel a week ago. didn’t have a break haven’t used extra contraception. today i’ve had a lot of clear watery discharge and i am able to feel it like a period, slight cramps, acne the past few days and tender breasts, only since i’ve started this pill. i’ve had spotting once. is this normal?

Discharge can change at any time. If you’ve follow your instructions correctly then you’re fine.

@Yi_eune i read that as long as i started the new pill the day after running out of the other one (as if i took a pill as i usually would the day after at the same time) that id be immediately protected. Does that sound correct to you? i’m such a stresshead and i just can’t help it

Cerelle and desogestrel are literally exactly the same hormones so in terms of protection while switching you are fine
