Hey, Im just getting started with birth control. It was not prescribed to prevent pregnancy initially but its def a plus hahaha. I was just wondering if the days of the week on the pack matter. I was advised to start on the last day of my periods ( so day 5), which is today (Friday). Do the pills have different doses? Do I pick any pill that says Friday? Brand: Alesse 21

Ur pack comes with stickers that you can put on to match the day that you start. The pills all have the same dosage for that pill, but it’s better to use the stickers so you aren’t wasting pills and it’s easier to keep track.

I see, I don't think my pack came with stickers 🙁 In that case should I just start with one that says Friday?

Start with the first day of the pack. Your pack should have came with stickers to use to cover up the days printed on it. If it didn’t or you can’t find them and you’re worried it will be too confusing if the days on your pack say something different, then you could just delay your start until Sunday so you line up with the first day of the pack and it’s easier to keep straight. Just be aware that depending how long after your period it is, you may have to use condoms until the pill begins protecting you. The pamphlet that came with your pill will have instructions.
