I have been on desogestrel (minipill) for 3 months now and I have been bleeding everyday for at least 3 weeks now which is really annoying. I googled and it said bleeding is normal as my body is still getting used to the hormone changes. However, I went to the pharmacy to pick up a new pack of pills and told the pharmacist about my bleeding and he said that it wasnt normal to bleed because theres no breaks in the pill. He suggested I look at getting a long lasting contraception such as the implant or depo shot. I just want to stop the bleeding. Can anyone recommend a hormonal contraception that has worked for them? Also, I had sex and since im bleeding it stung and hurt which is weird because I’ve had sex when I have been bleeding in the past and its been fine. Then i tried again and it felt like my body was rejecting it. I have no clue why any of this is happening but I just want to feel normal again 💤💤❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌💤💤💤💤💤

the pharmacist was wrong it is very normal to bleed on the mini pill, i am on desogestrel and i bleed. if the bleeding carries on more than 5 weeks i would look at changing pill. although bleeding is normal in the first 3-6 months as you adjust, that amount of bleeding is too much for you to have to deal with. are you having a change in discharge or smell of discharge?

Im on the mini pill and all I had was a bit of spotting for a few days when I first started taking it. It is possible to bleed while getting used to it but getting a period isn’t because you physically cant get one because all of the pill are hormones. Just give ur body time to adjust and it should stop
