I’ve taken my combined pill for 32 days in a row. I know you can take a break anytime after 21 days but I took a pill 12 hours late 14 days ago. I’ve had breakthrough bleeding ever since so I’d like to take a break to try and regulate it again. My pill information advised me to take another strip, that’s why I didn’t take a break. But information online says a 4 day break is possible if you’ve taken your pill for 21 days consecutively. Would this still be advisable even though I took a pill 12 hours late within those 21 days? Or can I just take a 7 day break?
I’m not worried about it in a contraceptive sense, but I’m just worried about messing with my bodies hormones even more.
