after having sex with someone or multiple people, when is it suggested to get tested for stis and stds? I just want to be safe and get regularly tested

Usually 2/3 weeks, however it’s recommended to use a barrier method unless you know for sure everyone involved has been cleared by recent testing.

also same for giving oral, im a little paranoid bc i had sex and did oral with 2 different guys this week and the one I didnt ask if they had been tested (i know irresponsible lol) i dont have symptoms or anything just want to be on top of things

also side note I do use condoms, i am not on the pill anymore so good there!

When I was single and having multiple partners I just got tested every 3 months or so to be safe

@aurielle okay thank you! and did you ask them to make sure they were recently tested? and how recent should we look for. its hard because obviously if i have sex with 2 guys in a week that would be a lot of testing in between lol but also not far enough out to test

When I was active I would just get tested regularly. Every 3 months or so. Used condoms. And i would be involved in oral. It’s kinda just the risk you take with that one unless you wanna use a condom/dam? I think it’s called. As for testing you can discuss that with them beforehand. Ask for their status and let them know yours. Pretty much all you can do. Hope you have lots of fun! 😸🤪

Yeah I used to get tested after every few guys really. I didn’t give oral to any hookups though, only fwbs/guys I was actually seeing x

I’d get tested every 3 months, after I ended things with a FWB, and before I started a new FWB relationship. I definitely recommend only giving oral to people you’re exclusive with, even if it’s only a FWB. I got oral chlamydia twice from guys who lied about getting tested regularly and it’s not fun!

You’ll never know to till you know. And unfortunately some people lie :/ . I’ve limited who I give oral to now. Back then I was more willing. But now it’s only if they give me head I’ll consider giving them some. There’s always a risk for anything tbh. I believe I got herpes from some guy giving me head - I think, I could never really know. But that was when I was more active. If you ever start with any symptoms just make an appointment straight away. And take pics! STIs are really common! And curable with the right meds. So yeah it can be scary but being active just has it’s consequences. And it’s most likely everyone has had some type of infection at some point or another. Don’t let it bring you down! Just take the right steps to cure yourself and don’t forget they need to be treated as well so it doesn’t get passed back. Hope I’m not scaring you. Being single is LOADS of fun and guys did shit to me I never even thought of doing. I’m a changed woman after all my hookups. 🤭Haha. Trust your gut. And get that dick 😛

@greenwitch one of them gave me chlamydia the very first time we met so I don’t know about him having symptoms. The other one had really runny cum. It was like water basically. That’s the only thing ever noticed that seemed weird to me that may have been a symptom.
