Hi everyone, I recently decided to stop taking birth control after 6 years on and off of taking the microgynon pill. I stopped taking it nearly 2 months ago and haven’t had a period yet. Has anyone experienced this after stopping birth control? I’m interested to hear what might be causing it or if it’s just a side affect and when it might come back !

It’s normal to take 2-3 months after stopping pills. If it lasts much longer than that, I’d see a doc. Usually mine resumes a month or two after I stop.

It can take 9 months or even longer for your periods to fully regulate after stopping hormonal contraception. So yep that’s normal, assuming you have been having protected sex obvs
