Hi guys so I’m freaking out a bit, I am on Yasmin and I have a non-hormonal iud. I had sex three days ago without a condom and then the next day I forgot to take my pill and I didn’t take it at all when I did remember. I then took my normal pill at the end of the day. This means out of my pack I missed one. Today I’ve been having really bad discharge and it was a little pink... I’ve never missed a pill so I don’t know what happens. Yes your IUD is still doing its job. Why are you on the pill as well as the IUD?

Your IUD protects you from getting pregnant. You’re also in your second week of the pill that allows for a missed one in that week and remain fully protected.

If you’re having sex without condoms you should really take the responsibility to educate yourself on the birth control methods you are using so you are aware of how things work and why they work the way they do.

The yasmins only there for you to regulate your periods, your BC method is the iud so you’re fine x

You are fine! I rely only on my iud and have been perfectly fine!
