I just need some reassurance. I’ve taken my birth control every single day the same time for nearly 4 years. (Only taken 2-3 break weeks throughout) My boobs are KILLING me this week and my nipples are super sensitive. Yes, I am sexually active. Can you please tell me I’m just overthinking and not pregnant. I took a test last week and it said negative. But my boobs started hurting about 3 days ago help!!

Painful boobs are a side effect of the pill, used to happen to me everyday. As long as you are taking ur pill correctly you cant get pregnant.

@Rosie_Rose wait taking it back to back like only 2 or 3 week breaks ever in the 4 years of taking the pills? If this is correct then depending on age you could be going thru another “growth spert” I did this 63-7 pills 63 of meds and 7 of sugar for 10 yrs and in the middle of this in my mid 20’s I started growing boobs went of barely a A cup to C cups now…. Hormones can make you grow boobs if your taking it none stop

I take no break week on my bc and get side effects every now and then. As long as you’re taking it correctly you are protected.

@Meowtastic_ I’m on the 91 pills with the 7 day break but I never take break weeks. For the past like 4 years I’ve taken a total of 2-3 break weeks, like one a year is about average if that.

i might be wrong but you should probably take another test in a week or two just to double check as side effects from the pill aren’t too common after the first 3 months but can happen occasionally, nipples being sensitive is a sign of early pregnancy, especially if you get a kind of tingling feeling or it’s uncomfortable

@Meowtastic_ sore breasts are normal on birth control. I have gone through times where they hurt immensely for a couple weeks and then it subsides again. This has happened a few times now.
If you use it correctly you aren’t pregnant. Side effects can happen and fade whenever, no matter how long you’ve been using it for.
