Hi. I’m just wondering is it normal to bleed during sex or sexual activity. I’m on the combined pill and my boyfriend’s bed always falls victim to a bloody massacre even when I’m not on my break from the pill.Is there anything I can do?

No it’s not normal. Are you doing foreplay? Using lube? Relaxed and comfortable during sex?

Yes to all of the above

Foreplay (kissing, oral provided to you) is recommended be at least 15min long prior to penetration. Lubricant should be added before penetration. Penetration should be slow and get faster (if wanted) overtime. What does bloody massacre mean? Are you in pain when it happens? Blood is a sign of distress and damage if a period is not involved

It just means I get blood all over his bedsheets and I feel so guilty afterwards. I’m never in pain but I just realise afterwards!

You should see a doctor if you’re bleeding that much because of sex. Especially if you say there is no pain? That’s not normal at all.
