Hey girls !!! I was prescribed the antibiotic sulfamethoxazole “ bactrim septra” I had sex 2 days before…. “ I only took the antibiotics 3days an stoped I didn’t finish all meds because urgent care called and said stop because culture was good and I no longer needed to finish. I took all my bc pill before and during and of course till now. Does that med affect bc? I’m feeling anxious. Thanks!!!!

The majority of antibiotics do not affect the pill, unless they cause severe diarrhoea or vomiting that does interfere with your pill. If you’re ever in doubt use condoms x
