Has anyone tried another BC besides the pill that you have liked even more? I’m currently on the pill and although I don’t feel it has changed my mood/body much. I do feel it has changed my libido and like the way I am with my partner a bit. I have an appointment next week with my doctor to discuss my options and maybe get off of it. But I also do like having that extra protection and being able to have sex unprotected. I’m not up for a DUI but maybe other types of BC I could give it a try (don’t know if they would help my problem but that’s why I’m asking for opinions)

@Yi_eune I don’t know much about it and it’s side effects. But how would you say was the process of your body adjusting and getting it on? How’s does it work with the period?

@Babb the possible side effects are the same with any other birth control. I didn’t really notice a change in side effects personally but I didn’t really have them on the pill either. I was mostly done with a daily method and wanted something that would last without the need for daily pills. I barely bleed on it, I had a week or 2 worth of light bleeding total in 3 years time. I hate bleeds though, so the less the better

I also switched from the pill to the implant. I’m not done with my full adjustment period yet, as I’ve only had it for about two months, but I feel a lot better so far than I did on the pill. Way less anxiety, haven’t been bleeding practically at all, and haven’t had to remember to take a pill. It was also painless to insert and I can always feel it’s there.

I used the pill for a few years, then I changed to the Evra patch. Got my IUD in December. Feel free to ask questions!
