Any saving grace to get rid of fruit flies? 😩 It got hot where I live for one day and bam, they’ve made it into my apartment. At my last apartment, we used a tape trap and they were gone after 2 days. I used the same trap and it’s caught over 70 freaking flies yet they’re still everywhere. I’ve poured bleach/ACV down every drain, deep cleaned every sink/drain, cleaned the whole apartment for anything that could be causing them, placed ACV traps… I’m at a loss. 🙁 We can’t eat anywhere without some flying in our faces.

Try a trap with apple cider vinegar and soap in a jar/bowl, microwave it for a few seconds than cover the top. Either will plastic wrap with holes or anything that only allows the fruit flies to go in. Did something similar once with wasps outside and it worked well

I assume you took out the trash too? They're nesting/breeding somewhere so you have to figure out where and remove that. It also takes a few days for them to dissipate completely once you've found and removed the source.

They need still water to breed. You’ve done the right thing to clear out drains but check every else you could possibly have some moisture sitting: Over watered plants, under raised flooring, in joins of the kitchen &bathroom, buckets of rainwater sat outside windows etc. You can set traps but without tackling the breeding site they’ll always come back. Try to make the environment less hospitable too so remove any food you may have out like fruit bowls. Put whatever you can into sealed containers too
