Me and this guy have been talking for a few days. We had a date today he picked me up, on our way to tue restaurant he randomly said “I should have stayed home my mom is bothering me to do something and she knows I am on a date so I am just going to take you home and we can go on an actual date Monday”. I told him if its me just be honest and he said its not me, Mind you he was 30 mins late picking me up (he did inform me but 10 mins somehow turned into 30) and I took the time out of my day to shower and get ready. I told him I would see him Monday but I am kinda thinking I shouldn’t bother giving him a second chance? Kinda weird behavior to me what do yall think.

I agree it’s outta the norm. The one time that happened with me I didn’t like the guy and told him to turn the car around and take me back home 😵‍💫 I mean it could’ve been a personal issue but why go out in the first place? Like just cancel instead. I get the frustration of you taking the time to get ready just to be like I did all that for nothing. I hate that. After a while I stopped putting so much effort into getting ready for first dates. Cause like I was doing all of that to be ‘presentable’ for some random dude and then stuff like that would happen and I just stopped. That’s just me tho

That’s really weird, maybe he got super nervous and panicked a little, but personally I wouldn’t go on Monday as I think it’s disrespectful to cancel plans last minute or show up very late.
