I just recently got my IUD. And so far, so good. I would recommend talking to your doctor about pain management. That was the most important thing for me. I called a lot of clinics till I found one that had pain management and scheduled my appointment with them. It was definitely worth it. They took an ultrasound of my uterus before inserting to measure the size to see which IUD would fit. Then they used two types of numbing medication on me before insertion. With all the stories out there, I was definitely scared, but picking the right doctor made all the difference!!! I got the kyleena and it’s been great. I do have some symptoms like cramps and spotting and nipple sensitivity. But all pretty mild! I’m happy with my choice. I also did use my ring birth control for about three months with the IUD in to lessen my symptoms. Or like not be hit with the iud symptoms so suddenly. Kinda made it gradual and it worked out well! The dr also recommended it too. I hope it works for you too! I also recommend the ring! I was on it for like 11 years and it was the perfect bc for me!
