Hi girls so this could be a dumb question but i’m just a tad confused, i’ve taken my birth control in my new pack for over 7 days on time. i am deciding to take my break week a week early so i don’t have it for an event later in the month. that means that last night i took a placebo pill and i will continue to do so for the rest of the week. if i have taken 7 pills in the back correctly everyone is saying i am protected for a break week. but how come if i miss 2 pills in 48 hours when i have taken the same 7 pills correctly i am then unprotected. i’m not sure if there is something i’m missing or something so if someone could let me know i’d really appreciate it :) 💊⚠️💊💊💊⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️💊⚠️💊💊💊⚠️💊💊💊💊💊💊💊💊💊💊❌⏱ Brand: Yasmin

You’re not unprotected in that case as it would be a 2 day break.

@Yi_eune i’m just confused as to how you are protected for a 7 day break week but if you skip like 3 pills in your pack you could be unprotected?

@coco694 if you take 7 pills correctly beforehand you’re not unprotected in that case as it would be a 3 day break. You’ll only become unprotected if you didn’t take enough pills for a break.

It all depends on how many pills you took before you missed them and if you missed them spread all over the pack. If you missed them 3 days in a row BUT still took 7 pills beforehand correctly it just counts as a 3 day break as 7 pills are enough to shut down ovulation for the next 7 days.
