Be sure to read your pamphlet and check the instructions on how to swap from one method to the mini pill and remain protected.

@Yi_eune yes I will do that, thank u, I’m just freaking out a little cause I’ve been on another pill for about two years and everything has been fine so I’m scared of getting really bad side effects, it had the same progestin hormone so I hope it works the same way as the last one just without estrogen 😢

@Ngssn why did you swap if everything was fine before?

I’m in a similar situation. I had an ictus in May and now I’m checking the new contraceptives with my doctor and she offered me the mini pill and the cupper IUD as the best options for me (because I cannot use the pill anymore)

@Yi_eune I had to swap because I wasn’t supposed to be using combo pills since they contain estrogen and increase the risk of a stroke for me, I didn’t know till a couple days ago 😢

@nosoycris it’s hard to change birth control once u know it doesn’t cause u that many side effects, but hopefully the one u choose is good, the iud hurts to insert I’ve heard 🥲

@ngssn also a friend of mine had problems with the Cu IUD but the Doc said that with my history is the best way 🥲 I’m afraid! My bf said to wait and use condoms for a while but well I was looking for another opinions or somebody who can give me her good experience with Cu IUD
