i came off the cerelle pill on the 15th of march and still haven’t had my period - is this something to be concerned about? i took a morning after pill last week and my doctor said that will probably delay my period too but at what point should i start to worry? i’ve had cramps and such but never an actual period. thanks ! (also if i don’t get my period for a while does this impact my fertility?)

Nope, it can 9 months or even longer for your natural periods to fully adjust back to normal after stopping the pill, you may get irregular periods during that time. The morning after pill also throws your hormones out of whack and can lead to irregular bleeding, I’ve seen several people online saying their periods were irregular for several months after taking the MAP. So definitely no need to panic for a while. I’m not sure about the fertility impact but neither the pill or the MAP affect fertility but obviously your hormones are all over the place rn.

morning after pill affected my bleeds (on birth control so not real periods) for around 6-7 months

I had went off the pill for a bit and when I first came off I had a withdrawal bleed and then didn’t have a period for 2.5 months everyone’s different and it can take a while for everything to regulate along with the morning after pill will probably delay it even more like your doctor said

It can easily take up to 12 months for your body to adjust being off birth control, throwing emergency contraceptive into the mix will shake things up further (for weeks or even multiple months). You can’t really rely on a regulated bleed for the next few months.
