TW: mention of current affairs I feel silly asking this but I overthink everything lol. I am an expat living in Qatar and we were attacked by Iran tonight. Thankfully all ok, but it was quite stressful as my husband works on an airbase, he is still there now and they are not letting them leave until their shift ends at 1am. Meaning he won’t be home till 2am. I know we are safe but I am still worried until he comes home and won’t sleep till I know he is home safe. I have to be up at 5am for work. I really can’t be bothered lol I know I’ll be tired. I kind of want to call in sick for tomorrow. My contract also ends on 10th July so kind of don’t care but then part of me does and I think I should just go in! Is it silly to take the day off?

Not silly at all! You’re entitled to it and have a valid reason

Never mind had an email saying we have to go in. At least I will sleep like a baby tonight 😅
