Hi guys, I have been on eloine (combined pill) for two months and i know it’s expected to have side effects in this time, but the wait gain and cramps during placebo days are getting to me and i just feel way more down on it. i want to switch back to my old pill slynd (progesterone only), but i am nervous because last time i started i had breakthrough bleeding for about two months straight. is it worth this risk? i just cant deal with the weight gain it just keeps going up no matter what i eat or do, and i dont have the time to spend every day in the gym

Also i am in a relationship, so bleeding for two months doesn’t sound that appealing and will make that difficult

The pill doesn’t actually cause weight gain, not dismissing your experience but it genuinely doesn’t. It doesn’t alter your metabolism significantly or cause fat to accumulate out of no where. You’re likely eating more without realising it. Try tracking your calories instead of guessing what you’re eating! It helped me a lot As for cramps during placebo, that’s normal. You can speak to your doctor about skipping the placebo week altogether and just taking active pills constantly. So instead of placebo, you throw them away and just start a new pack on active pills and continue as normal.
