hi all! tomorrow i’m hanging out with my boyfriend for the day and i want to have sex because i’m always horny LOL (tmi sorry). but now i feel scared because of the continuous yeast infections and UTI’s and honestly, it’s ruining me. i’m overall a very sexual person, it’s just who i am. but i don’t think i can have sex anymore knowing at the back of my mind it’s going to lead to a UTI. what should i do? any advice? how can i feel comfortable with sex again knowing the risk?

have you spoken to a doctor? it sounds like a recurring UTI, and the yeast infections could be the result of taking antibiotics. the only advice i can give you is to take probiotics when you take antibiotics for the UTI- if you get one again. that *should* stop you from getting the yeast infection

You should get advice from a doctor and get a referral to a urologist about recurring UTIs

@aurielle @onthepillxo i’ve spoken to my doctor but she said it isn’t a cause of concern and to just drink more water 😭. i feel like my doctor is judging me a little only because i’m “young” and feels like i shouldn’t be having sex or these problems at such a young age but still…i can’t help it. so i can’t get a referral…

Get a second opinion, that’s just not good enough.

100% that’s ridiculous of the doctor, you need to find a different one that will actually listen to you

@onthepillxo @bluerose9 it’s funny you say that because i’ve been to two doctors for this actually and BOTH OF THEM said dehydration and it’s not a cause for concern. this is why i’m going into the medical field because i’m constantly not taken seriously. same thing happened when i had thyroid problems :(. should i try someone else? third times the charm lol.

same happened to me for yeast infections and one doctor finally told me what was going on and i haven’t had one since, definitely try a different doctor - from someone who’s had a similar thing happen

@onthepillxo thank you! i’ll definitely do that until someone believes me LOL. doctors can be so mean sometimes and idky. like you go through years of school for WHAT! anyways my ramble T_T
