does anyone have any advice for lactose intolerance, i’m like 99.9% sure i’ve got it but i never did, can you contract it over time? do i need to go to the doctors or anything? is there any good cheese and milk substitute, i don’t really like almond or oat milk and i’ve never really looked for lactose free cheese

Yes you can develop a lactose intolerance. That’s what happened to me. There are regular milks that are advertised as lactose free, and to me they taste the same as the usual cow’s milk. I like oat milk better so I tend to stick to that. Personally I make an exception for cheese, as I don’t like many cheeses and the substitute made it worse, but I make sure to consume very little. I can have some without having issues, but that may be different for you! Definitely worth experimenting!

If you prefer regular milk they do make lactose free milk like fair life and a2, which is also good in any recipes that need milk.

Yeah mine used to be minor but got a bit worse as I got older. No need to go to the doctor as you can get lactase supplements at the drugstore! It literally provides the enzyme you are lacking to digest lactose. I take one half to 2 pills right before I consume dairy (depending on how much I'm having) and I can still basically eat anything!
