does anyone else seem to get yeast infections/ irritation down there after they have sex? Ik sex does not cause yeast infections but it seems like after i have sex, a few days later i get one. it’s so annoying. Im going to try probiotics that support down there but idk what else to do. It seems like my vagina is so easily irritated.

Men can have yeast infections too and can spread it if not treated. Could be the cause if you are seeing the same guy each time? X

If you have sex while having the infection it can be passed back and forth between you guys. Both of you should get proper treatment and be 100% sure the infection is gone before engaging in sex again.

^ are you getting it properly treated and refraining from sex until it’s definitely gone each time?

It hasn’t just been with one partner, it first started with my ex and I was treated for it and so was he all though he didn’t test positive for a yeast infection but just to be safe but it still happened again. and yes, i actually stopped having sex all together for a while because i was scared of it happening again. The only medicine I’ve taken for it is fluconazole so im thinking maybe the symptoms have gotten better after taking it but it hasn’t ever gone away completely leading to the symptoms coming back when something irritates down there. no clue but i was never this sensitive before :(

This is my advice for buying probiotics: look for ones that have a minimum of 10 million live bacteria (i get ones with at least 20 million) and specific bacteria strains in the ingredients (for example don’t get ones that just list Lactobacillus acidophilus, get ones that list something like Lactobacillus acidophilus LA85 - the bacteria strain with an identifying number/letter - this is a particular strain of bacteria)

Semen can throw off your pH and cause yeast infections. Try using a condom/not letting them finish in you.

If you are able to go to the doctor , Diflucan works wonders !
