hi! im switching from the combination pill (daysee 91s), after being on it for 10+ years, to the nexplanon implant. my implant appointment is on Dec 3 and my doctor told me i would have to cease taking the pill for at least 7 days before the appointment. what’s the safest way for me to come off the pill if im sexually active? should i use condoms 2 weeks before my appointment? thank you!

I’m confused why you’d have to stop 7 days before usually if you’re switching to an implant or iud you’d keep taking your pill until 7 days after you get your implant in to cover the gap so you aren’t unprotected

I was told to keep talking active pills until the day of my appointment and then stop. So by the time my break week ends my implant would be active.
