Hey everyone. I was wondering if anyone here uses hair removal cream? Shaving is something I dread and I end up with irritated skin no matter what I try.. so I was wondering if people had any experiences or advice to share when it comes to using a cream. Is it any good for dealing with the pubic area?

Only use hair removal creams that are specifically made for the pubic area as it's a sensitive area, I wouldn't use just any cream, and patch test first to test for reactions.

If you have really thick hair it unfortunately might not work for you. I’ve used Nair and left it on for the maximum 10 minutes and probably a few hairs have come off.

@aurielle that’s good to know, thank you! I’ll definitely be looking at products better suited.

I’ve been using hair removal creams for a couple months now because I had the same problem as you. And I have really thick hair and really sensitive skin. For some reason the only way that works really well for me is first gently exfoliating, patting yourself dry and then applying the cream. And after the time is up I use a wash cloth and some mild soap or shower gel to scrub the cream off and all the hairs come off easily. It might not work for everyone because that’s normally not what you’re supposed to do. But honestly it works so well for me even tho I have extremely sensitive skin. And since you exfoliate beforehand and scrub afterwards it makes your skin so soft for a good couple days. Just make sure you avoid any cuts and irritated areas and moisturize well.

@xXKissMeMore I was looking at Veet products so that’s good to know. I’m trying to be really careful and doing my research before buying anything.
