I have had irregular bleeding since I started my period at 13. I usually have a period every 10-14 days and they last 5-7 days very heavy and sometimes very painful. The constant bleeding gave me anemia and was very uncomfortable. I’ve made numerous visits to the doctors to try and investigate this problem but from the ages of 13-18 was told it was just hormonal changes. Then at 18 I had a few scans and was told it was Polycystic ovaries, no further treatment or investigation. I can recall a time where I was in excruciating pain which was very abrupt and led to me calling an ambulance and was informed I had a cyst the size of a gold ball but then when I had my next scan, it was clear. I am now 21 and the issue has not been resolved, and whenever I have tried to make an appointment with the gyno they told me they could only offer the pill/ coil. I have tried multiple pills that have not agreed with me for many reasons. I am currently on the birth control Yasmin, I am on my 7th pack, and I have not been taking any breaks as I cannot stand the frequent heavy periods, however ever since starting this pill I have been continuously bleeding. The bleed isn’t heavy and that is why I prefer it to my usual period, but it is rather inconvenient and uncomfortable. I also had this issue on the cezerette progesterone pill. I’m not too sure if anyone suffers with the same problem or can give any advice? The doctors seem to always dismiss my problems but it doesn’t seem right.

Just to add, I take my pill on time every night. If I have sex it makes bleeding heavier on the pill also
