lil pick me up for u ladies ~ clean and clear dual action moisturiser and the st ives oatmeal scrub are a WONDER duo for extremely sensitive, breakout prone skin like mine. I’ve been using them in conjunction for the last 3/4 days using the scrub in the evenings after removing my makeup and then applying a few layers of the moisturiser my skin texture is SO much better i just wish i had the pictures of my forehead to prove it! also u can get both for like £6 in the uk :*

St Ives anything is absolutely awful for your skin.

@freespirit i agree that the apricot scrub was far too harsh for my skin but i use this one as a mask and then just rinse it off so the exfoliants don’t scratch at my skin, it seems to be working for me though really well. This is their lowest factor exfoliation product i believe (?)

I’ve also heard bad things about st ives - I looked up the one you mentioned here and it unfortunately also contains walnut shell which is far too abrasive for your facial skin (no matter how well they say it’s been ground down to a powder) and can actually cause micro tears in your skin, so long term it’s probably doing more harm than good. You also shouldn’t be using any face scrub every day, depending on your skin type 2-4 times a week is enough!

The clean and clear dual action moisturiser is great though, I used to use it all the time when I had pretty bad acne and it definitely helped.

@bluerose9 agreed, i’ll definitely use it less frequently especially now my skin is clearing up. It has definitely improved my skin texture, i considered using a chemical exfoliant like glycolic acid but my skin always reacts badly to any form of acid. But i’ll use this maybe 3 times a week and continue using the moisturiser because it’s great so far - thanks for the advice x
