Seek out support! Maybe that means talking to friends/family, seeing a doctor/therapist, trying meditation/yoga

Third seeing a therapist to get proper support on how to understand where these thoughts and feelings are coming from, why you’re feeling them and how to reframe them and change your thinking patterns x

@bluerose9 do you think it’s a little like awkward to get a therapist at 17 though about relationship problems? Like i see that for older couples or married people not just a two year relationship. I also don’t really know where i would get one from other than maybe a councillor at college?

There are multiple counsellor that you can get in touch with such as your local gp may have a counsellor who will then refer you to a bigger counselling service x

@cutiepattoti there is also absolutely no shame in getting support for your mental health despite your age or what the issue is x

@cutiepattoti nope. Absolutely not. Interpersonal relationships of all kinds are one of main things therapists work with people on. It doesn’t matter your age or what kind of relationship it is. Definitely see the options available to you through school/college, as said above your GP can refer you too.

@cutiepattoti there are therapists who literally specialize in teenagers and children so it's absolutely normal!

if you would benefit from therapy, then it’s not weird to get therapy. being young + in a high school relationship is common but that doesn’t mean it’s easy and it doesn’t mean you have to tough everything out on your own.

@cutiepattoti if anything seeing a therapist at a young age will help you a lot in the long run. It’ll help you work through things rather than letting it linger until you’re a few years older.
