my pharmacist switched me from alysena 28 to aviane 28. he said they’re pretty much the same thing but the different brand is making me nervous. am i still protected if i switch brands or should i use other contraception for the first 7 days to make sure?

If the ingredients are the same then it’s just a generic version of the same pill.

Pharm assistant here ! They are both generics. They aren’t the exact same but share the same main ingredient. They can cause different side effects. I would recommend speaking to your pharmacist as saying you do not wish to have a different generic due to the side effects xx they switch because of it just not being in stock at that time.
