i got the injection a couple weeks ago, my mood swings have been absolutely terrible. i’ve been on the pill before and was on it for 2.5 years, i then had the implant for 5 months which cause constant heavy bleeding, i then went back in the pill until i had the 10 year copper IUD put in. that then expelled from my uterus meaning i had to have it removed. i don’t like the injection and want to switch again to something. what does everyone recommend? a different IUD (hormonal or 5 year copper)? i’m lost!

Might be worth talking to your doctor or even your local pharmacist about what options are available in your area and what their professional opinions are

What was wrong with the pill? There’s also the patch if remembering the pill was annoying for you x

I like to suggest the nuvaring! I’ve been on it for 10 years. You can insert and remove it yourself. It’s worked very well for me. But going to switch to the iud soon just for a more secure method.

@hellok1tty it wasn’t necessarily remembering it, idk if it makes sense but when it feels like there’s a physical barrier (like an iud) i feel safer. obviously i know it doesn’t work like that as they are not barrier methods but it feels like there’s something physically in the way if that makes sense
