{NcO-aWNTO} Some comments on this post may ease your mind :). Mini pill is still very effective if you take it correctly.

It’s perfectly reliable if you use it correctly.

Desogestrel mini pills prevent ovulation as well as combined pills do (over 97% effective at preventing ovulation.) Norethindrone mini pills, which are older and less commonly prescribed now, sometimes allow ovulation but they have many other mechanisms that prevent pregnancy such as thickening the cervical mucus to prevent sperm from reaching an egg and thining the uterine lining so that an egg can't implant. Used correctly its just as effective as the combined pill

@yI_eune I looked and it only says the progestin is norgestrel.

Opill is norgestrel and its pamphlet states it has a 3 hour window.

@GhostFaceLov from what I read and a small clinical study, it stops ovulation in one-third to two-thirds of women/pill users. But it doesn't matter if it stops your ovulation or not, because thickening the cervical mucus and thinning the uterine lining still prevents pregnancy.
