I tested positive for mycoplasma genitalium Was given azithromycin to take before doxycycline and now I’m worried that I’m not going to be cured because I keep seeing people say you are supposed to take doxycycline first… I’m moving to the other side of the world just after the retest to see if I’m still positive and just wondered if anyone else has been cured this way ? 4x azithromycin then 2/day for 2 days the 7 days of doxycycline twice a day

I would trust your doctor’s instructions over internet opinions. There’s nothing you can do until the retest so try not to panic. Make sure to be taking probiotics (take them a few hours after taking your dose of antibiotics to avoid drug interactions).
