How does one deal with rejection letters from job opportunities? I just graduated but am not interested in doing full time so I’m going to do part time for a while until I’m ready, even though I’m sure certain family members may not be happy. I’ve applied to 10+ part time jobs, some retail some office assistant but I lack customer service skills but I do have work experience. I just got rejected from one job and I cried lol. I kinda feel like no one will want to hire me.

Any sort of rejection hurts but think of it as their loss and at least that you’re trying to get your foot in the door! Some places are very particular about what they want for experience/education and don’t look beyond that, but it’s nothing against you.

It’s hard, but it gets easier every time you do it. It took me 4 months of applying to about 5 jobs a week to get a job that I wanted, and during that time I got maybe 3 call backs. One thing I will say is that some places take WAY LONGER than you think they will to respond. I’m still getting rejection letters and responses from places I applied to in January.
